Dr. Altamiro Flávio Ribeiro Pacheco Graduated in Dentistry from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG-1989). Specialist in Facial Harmonization by the National Board (2020). Specialist in Prosthesis by the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU-1992). Coordinator of the International Course: Anatomy Related to Facial Harmonization on the MARC Institute, Miami USA. Creator of the continuing education course, called “Um Sorriso Para Cada Face”. Former professor of the Specialization in Prosthesis at ABO-GO. Professor of Specialization in Dentistry at ABO-GO. Coordinator of Specialization in Orofacial Harmonization at ABO-GO. Creator of the Sofia spatula (Millenium Golgran), the Komet Bur Keeper and the V.Shape facial analysis instrument. Director and coordinator of the Orofacial activities of the Brazilian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry (SBOE) Founding member of the Brazilian Society of Botulinum Toxin and Facial Implants (SBTI). Currently, in addition to attending his private clinic, he also teaches courses in Brazil and abroad. Author of the books: Botulinum Toxin for Orofacial Harmonization and Fillers for Orofacial Harmonization. Published in the USA, Canada, Brazil and German.

Botulinum Toxin course

The Botulinum Toxin course comprises two parts. The first one is a theoretical on-line course of 14 hours. The second part is a hands-on course of 17 hours (31 hours at all). As a student you can choose to be part of one or both parts. Independent of what you choose, we hope to have the opportunity to study together with you.

 

Part I: On-line Botulinum Toxin course

Total time: 14 hours (Part I)


The target group are Dentists, Physicians and Nurses interested in learn how to use Botulinum Toxin or also in how to have the highest proficiency on it.

The course begins remembering useful anatomical and physiological concepts and along it, reaches the highest level of Botulinum Toxin skills.


The theoretical part of the course includes:

* Didactic material explanation: How to use your material.

* Market: What is the need for toxin applications.

* Botulinum Toxin characterization: Composition a Mechanism of action.

* Toxin presentations: Characteristics, pros and cons of the different formulations.

* Workflow: Organizing your crew to optimize the applications.

* Immunogenicity: Strategies to avoid it

* Contra-indications: They are few, but important.

* 16 Facial Muscles: Anatomy, position, depth, function, Indication and injection technique

* Complications: Diagnose and management.


Driven exercises:

* Reconstitution: How to “dilute” it. The advantages of a “dry” dilution.

* Instruments: The best syringes and needles? Application techniques.

*Injections technique

* 3D Facial painting

Practical knowledge:

* 62 patient case analysis

* Video of toxin application


 

 Part II: Botulinum Toxin hands-on course program:

Total time: 17 hours (Part II)

Day 1

 

8:30-9:00am – Introduction

Delivery of clinical and didactical materials for the students.

 

9:00-11:00am - Demonstration

The teacher will show a facial analysis, then a photoshop, simulating the result of one patient and will make a live application in this patient.

11:00am-1:00pm – Hands-on

Students will receive selected patients to analyze and mark the patient faces. Teachers will discuss each case to confirm the marks and set the patient for the application.

Students will perform the proper anesthesia and will inject fillers in the selected patients.

All patients will be photographed before, during and after the treatment.

Clinical after care

 

1:00-2:00pm – Lunch time

Free time for student’s lunch

 

2:00-5:30pm – Hands-on

Students will receive selected patients to analyze and mark the patient faces. Teachers will discuss each case to confirm the marks and set the patient for the application.

Students will perform the proper anesthesia and will inject fillers in the selected patients.

All patients will be photographed before, during and after the treatment.

Clinical after care

Day 2

 

8:30-9:00am – Introduction

Students will perform the topical anesthesia and will inject toxin in the selected patients.

All patients will be photographed before, during and after the treatment.

Clinical after care

 

12:00am-1:00pm – Lunch

Free time for student’s lunch

 

1:00-5:00pm - Hands-on

Students will receive selected patients to analyze and mark the patient faces. Teachers will discuss each case to confirm the marks and set the patient for the application.

Students will perform the proper anesthesia and will inject fillers in the selected patients.

All patients will be photographed before, during and after the treatment.

Clinical after care

 

5:00-5:30pm - Hands-on
